During disasters Light Foot members may be required to travel by foot in areas that have been devastated by disasters and normal navigation tools (roads, road signs, man-made landmarks, etc.) may be unreliable or destroyed. Therefore, Light Foot members need to be proficient in land navigation using basic compass and map reading skills.
